UCOM Goals

  • Develop and maintain programs which represent the best interests of all condominium owners through educational forums and publications.
  • Encourage and enhance the condominium lifestyle as a more carefree, economical and independent home ownership.
  • Inform and educate members to administer their associations with knowledge, good judgment and even-handedness for the well being of all.
  • Represents members setting forth the interests of condominium associations through the legislative process. UCOM is the only organization that is designed solely to represent the interests of condominium and community associations in Michigan
  • Inform members of potential legislation relating to issues affecting home ownership, particularly condominium ownership.
  • Join and participate in national organizations with goals common to UCOM and condominium ownerships and lifestyle.

    Types of Membership

    UCOM offers three separate types of memberships:

    Class A membership is available to all Condominium Boards of Associations.

    Class B membership is available only to Condominium Developers who have not yet relinquished control of the Board of Directors to the Co-owners.

    Class C membership is available to Management Companies, Commercial Enterprises, Advertisers, and other Condominium related businesses.

    Class R-H membership is available to all Residential Homeowners Associations.

    Membership Fee Schedule

    Voting Rights - one delegate for each Class A and Class B association.

    All condominium associations may elect to pay a three-year membership and receive a 10% discount for the total 3 years. For new members and renewals.

    101-300 units $140.00
    Over 300 units $170.00
